Dorothy Quigley qualified from Kings College, London in 1987. She was chosen to work at Kings Hospital as a house surgeon in both restorative dentistry and oral surgery for the following year. Here she gained enormous experience which has enabled her to have a confident and professional approach to general practice. Dorothy takes great pride in her clinical ability and can recognise her own artistically placed restorations which have been carved and shaped to replace the original tooth anatomy. Every patient will have a gum disease check. Dorothy takes time and care to explain to her patients the significance of “pockets”. She is also experienced at treating nervous patients, putting them at their ease and converting them to regular patients.
Heather Matthews graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1988. She has worked in a range of clinical practice settings in Gillingham, Bexleyheath and Sidcup. She is interested in dentures, children’s dentistry and routine maintenance. She has worked at the practice since January, 2001. Heather has a young family and lives locally.
Sandeep joined the practice in 2010. After getting a degree in Biomedical Science, she went back to King’s College, London to train as a dentist. She passed her exams with distinction and won several prizes. As a student Sandeep went to Vietnam to provide dental care for children at an orphanage in Vietnam. She qualified in 2008 with BDS Honours. She has worked at practices in Winchester and Charlton, as a senior house officer in the oral and maxillofacial department at Southampton General Hospital, and at the out-of-hours Greenwich and Bexley emergency dental service.
Sandeep enjoys all aspects of dentistry; she loves getting to know her patients and seeing them grow in confidence with having dental treatment. She believes in prevention, and strives to educate and empower her patients about their oral health. She provides a range of NHS and private treatments, including aesthetic restorations, the sleep clenching inhibitor for grinding (which can help with headaches and migraines), straightening with Invisalign, and whitening.
Outside of work, Sandeep is passionate about travelling to new places all over the world, painting, photography and good food. She enjoys swimming and Pilates to keep fit.
Shrikant graduated in India where he worked as a General Dentist in a private clinical setting. Having moved to the UK, he has done a Masters in Public Health from Brunel University in West London. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and strives to provide quality treatment in a comfortable and compassionate manner. He likes treating nervous patients and children. He puts a lot of focus on a preventative approach in his patient care. Shrikant is especially interested in providing aesthetic restorations and in improving smiles by correcting the position of mildly crowded teeth using fixed/removable braces. Outside of work, Shrikant is interested in sports, reading, cooking and describes himself as a true Chelsea fan!
Pinal graduated in 2009 and has worked in general practice since. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and believes in putting the patient first. He believes this can only be achieved by listening and trying to understand the patient’s needs as an individual. Pinal likes to keep up to date with the latest developments in dentistry through continued education and courses. He is looking to commence a postgraduate diploma to enhance his clinical skills so that he can provide the highest level of care for his patients.
Uzma Qazi joined Quigley Dental in May 2019, having worked in the NHS for nearly three years. Uzma qualified in Pakistan in 2001 and subsequently got her LDS degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in London in 2016. She has worked at both hospital and general practice throughout her career. Uzma enjoys her profession and regularly attends courses and conferences to enhance her clinical skills. She is also passionate about improving patients’ smiles and providing high quality restorative and aesthetic treatments. She understands some people’s anxieties about visiting the dentist, and does her best to put patients at their ease. Outside work, she’s a good cook, an avid traveller and is multilingual (Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Pushto, Afghani).
Shan joined Quigley Dental in September 2019. She is originally from London, where she completed a bachelors degree in molecular biology at Queen Mary, University of London. She went on to study dentistry at UEM in Madrid, Spain. Since then, she has completed her Dental Foundation Training with the NHS in Plymouth. Shan appreciates that sitting in a dental chair can be a tense time for many, but she strives to make it as comfortable an experience as possible.

Ieva graduated from the Medical University in Kaunas, Lithuania with a Bachelors degree in Public Health and Dental Hygiene in 2003. She has a Masters degree in Health Educology.
Prior to joining the Quigley Dental Practice, Ieva worked as a dental hygienist for a number of practices in the London area and Cornwall.
Practice manager, Sidcup & Northfleet
Tina Salmon started dental nursing in 1975, qualifying in 1998. She has been working at the Quigley Dental Practice since August, 1995, initially working as a nurse, before becoming practice manager in 2004. Tina is GDC registered. Tina likes to travel, gardening and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
Ashley started dental nursing in 1999 and has been working at Quigley’s since August, 2000. It is important to Ashley that her patients are relaxed and comfortable in the surgery whilst having their dental treatment. Ashley is GDC registered. In her spare time, she likes walking her dog Bella and spending time with family and friends.
Hayley Gibson started nursing in June 2010 at a practice in Thamesmead. She joined Quigley’s in March 2011 and qualified in March 2012 with an NEBN certificate. Hayley is GDC registered and enjoys keeping up to date with her CPD. In her spare time, she enjoys taking her dog for long walks, going to the gym and socialising with family and friends.
Sara Harley joined Quigley Dental as a trainee dental nurse in June 2019 and became a qualified nurse in September 2019.
Maisie Smith joined Quigley Dental as a trainee dental nurse in September 2019.
Sue Goodrum joined Quigley’s in 2012 as our receptionist. Her first job was working with dogs. She started in dental nursing in 2002, studying at Orpington College and qualified in 2005 with a NEBDN certificate. Sue loves to walk her dogs, Amber and Sapphire, and also attend dog shows.
Shelley-Anne worked for the Daily Mirror for 19 years as a Personal/Editorial Assistant on the Advice Page. She then worked as a Teaching Assistant at Orpington College obtaining her Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification. She joined Quigley’s in July 2011 as our part-time receptionist.
Ruth Perry is a GDC registered dental nurse. She also has certificates in Basic Life Support (2009) and Disinfection & Decontamination (2009) and keeps up to date with dental developments through CPD. Ruth started in dental nursing in 1971 and has been at the Quigley practice since 2001. She also works on reception two days a week. Born and raised in Gravesend, Ruth became a grand parent in 2009.
Nurse and receptionist, Northfleet
Laura started her working life serving behind the bar at her parent’s establishment, before starting her dental nursing career in 2003 qualifying in 2015 with a dental diploma. She started with Quigley’s in 2015. In her spare time, she likes to go to the cinema, listen to music and spend time with her children, Rossi and Summer.
Helen joined Quigley Dental Practice in May 2017. Before that, she had spent almost 25 years home schooling her four daughters. She also ran her own sewing business during that time.
When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking in the local countryside and doing voluntary work.
Nilkamal joined the Quigley Dental Practice in 2018. She has previously worked as a community care worker in Rochester and as a Gurkha welfare support worker in Maidstone.
