Principal, Sidcup & Northfleet
Dorothy Quigley qualified from Kings College, London in 1987. She was chosen to work at Kings Hospital as a house surgeon in both restorative dentistry and oral surgery for the following year. Here she gained enormous experience which has enabled her to have a confident and professional approach to general practice. Dorothy takes great pride in her clinical ability and can recognise her own artistically placed restorations which have been carved and shaped to replace the original tooth anatomy. Every patient will have a gum disease check. Dorothy takes time and care to explain to her patients the significance of “pockets”. She is also experienced at treating nervous patients, putting them at their ease and converting them to regular patients.
Heather Matthews graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1988. She has worked in a range of clinical practice settings in Gillingham, Bexleyheath and Sidcup. She is interested in dentures, children’s dentistry and routine maintenance. She has worked at the practice since January, 2001. Heather has a young family and lives locally.
Sandeep Sagoo joined the practice in September 2010. Sandeep trained at Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ Dental Institute in London, where she passed her dental exams with distinction and won serveral prizes. She qualified in 2008 with honours. As a student, Sandeep was awarded the Lightfoot Travel Award, which took her to South East Asia, where she undertook voluntary work at an orphanage in Vietnam. Since then, she has had a Senior House Officer position in a busy oral and maxillofacial department at Southampton General Hospital and worked in general practice in Charlton.
Shrikant graduated in India where he worked as a General Dentist in a private clinical setting. Having moved to the UK, he has done a Masters in Public Health from Brunel University in West London. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and strives to provide quality treatment in a comfortable and compassionate manner. He likes treating nervous patients and children. He puts a lot of focus on a preventative approach in his patient care. Shrikant is especially interested in providing aesthetic restorations and in improving smiles by correcting the position of mildly crowded teeth using fixed/removable braces. Outside of work, Shrikant is interested in sports, reading, cooking and describes himself as a true Chelsea fan!
Nicola Da Cunha
Dentist, Sidcup & Northfleet
Nicola graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Dental Institute London in 2010. She completed Vocational Training in Edenbridge soon after where she developed a keen interest in restorative and aesthetic dentistry. Nicola joined the Quigley Dental team in 2011 and works in both Northfleet and Sidcup practices. She advocates preventive and minimally invasive dentistry. Her gentle approach has enabled anxious patients to gain confidence in receiving dental care. Nicola has completed part one of the MJDF qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons and is passionate about keeping up to date with advances in dentistry. She is currently working towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, cooking, going to the gym and spending time with her friends and family.
Matt qualified from Barts and The London with honours and has been working in Kilburn, London in general practice since. Prior to this, Matt studied Biology and worked at the University of Cambridge. He likes to perform dentistry with a smile, to make patients comfortable in the dental environment. He is interested in general dentistry, crowns and oral surgery; and improving his patients’ oral health. He also enjoys making a difference to those who may not have visited for a long time due to being nervous; throughout his time in Kilburn, he was able to treat many of these patients, many of whom are now regular attenders and have got over their fears. Matt has a keen interest in running and travelling, and lives in London. Matt joined the Quigley practice in September 2014.
Egle Bernotiene joined the practice in September 2014. Egle graduated from the Medical University in Kaunas, Lithuania with a Bachelors degree in Public Health and Dental Hygiene in 2006. Prior to joining Quigley’s, Egle worked as a dental hygienist for a number of practices in the London area. She also has experience of working in the USA. In 2014, she completed a Dental Therapy course at the University of Bristol.

Alina Smiltniekkiene joined the Quigley Dental Practice in September 2014.

Tina Salmon started dental nursing in 1975, qualifying in 1998. She has been working at the Quigley Dental Practice since August, 1995, initially working as a nurse, before becoming practice manager in 2004. Tina is GDC registered and is a member of the British Dental Practice Managers Association (BDPMA).
Nurse, Sidcup & Northfleet
Kam Dhadwal started dental nursing in 1997, qualifying in 2002 with a NEBDN certificate. Kam gained experience in sedation, oral surgery and implants at her first practice. To broaden her experience, she joined the Smile Agency, before joining us in 2002. Initially, Kam worked in the Northfleet practice only, but since 2003, has worked at both Sidcup and Northfleet. Kam is GDC registered and is up to date with technology developments through Continuing Professional Development courses. Kam is Dorothy Quigley’s principal nurse. Before becoming a nurse, Kam did a variety of jobs (fruit packing, tailoring, school dinner assistant) as she raised her two children, who are now in their 20s. Born in Derbyshire, Kam moved to Kent in the 1970s.
Ashley Hurt started dental nursing in 1999 and has been working at Quigley’s since August, 2000. Ashley is GDC registered.
Hayley Gibson started nursing in June 2010 at a practice in Thamesmead. She joined Quigley’s in March 2011 and qualified in March 2012 with an NEBN certificate. Hayley is GDC registered and enjoys keeping up to date with her CPD. In her spare time, she enjoys taking her dog for long walks, going to the gym and socialising with family and friends.
Sara Mohammadi Nejad
Sara Mohammadi Nejad started nursing in 2013 and qualified in April 2015. She joined the Sidcup practice in 2015. Sara’s hobbies include painting, psychology, photography and gardening.
Sue Goodrum joined Quigley’s in 2012.
Shelley-Anne Meekcomes worked for the Daily Mirror for 19 years as a Personal/Editorial Assistant on the Advice Page before being made redundant in 2010. She then worked as a Teaching Assistant at Orpington College obtaining a Level 2 STALIS qualification. She joined Quigley’s in July 2011 as our part-time receptionist.
Ann Wesley has been a dental nurse or receptionist for most of her working life and has been our receptionist at Northfleet since November 1996. Previously, Ann worked as a nurse and receptionist for Mr V K Dhanda, between 1986-1996. She loves working with the public and offering them a warm and welcoming service. Ann aims to provide a calm, organised and professional approach. Ann has lived locally for 40 years and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, walking and going to the theatre.
Ruth Perry is a GDC registered dental nurse. She also has certificates in Basic Life Support (2009) and Disinfection & Decontamination (2009) and keeps up to date with dental developments through CPD. Ruth started in dental nursing in 1971 and has been at the Quigley practice since 2001. She also works on reception two days a week. Born and raised in Gravesend, Ruth became a grand parent in 2009.

Lisa Parker joined in 2015 and works in both the Northfleet and Sidcup practices. Lisa started her dental nursing course in 2012 and gained her City & Guilds in 2015.
